The complex is embedded in a 120.000 sqm estate in the middle of the desert towards Soma Bay. The architecture of the club integrates elements typical of the desert. Due to the specific climate it is not unpleasantly hot during the day. There is a constant wind which can sometimes develop into sandstorms. At night, the temperature drops distinctly. The club ground borders on the wide, flat falling sand beach. Flip-flops are recommended, as one of the most interesting and beautiful coral reefs of the Red Sea lies offshore. The airport in Hurghada is situated at a distance of 47 km, Luxor 240 and Cairo at a distance of 460 km. The closest little town is Safaga, 18 km further away.

The Robinson Club Soma Bay includes:
A restaurant on the beach with bar, a restaurant with local specialties, 3 pools (one of which a children pool), NITE CLUB, theatre, studio, ROBY CLUB, Robin Store, large-screen projection, internet station (not included in the price) and a football pitch.

Accommodation:
All 292 rooms in the Robinson Club Soma Bay are air-conditioned/heated, there are family suites and double rooms as well as rooms for singles with child, economy and double rooms for single use available in limited number. You can choose from 4 categories, all rooms being comfortably furnished with balcony, shower with toilet, TV set, (satellite television), direct dialling telephone, fridge, hair drier and safety deposit box.

Let yourself spoiled by the diversified buffets (full board) three times a day and experience the further culinary offer and late riser breakfast, the bistro line in the restaurant on the beach and the midnight snack. You have the possibility of participating daily in attractive diving trips. For nitrox diving you need a licence. The corresponding courses can be attended in one of the most modern complexes of the world. 3 decompression chambers are in the immediate proximity of the club. Diving equipment can be booked in advance.
Sailing/surfing: In the Robinson Club Soma Bay always blows a medium to strong wind which turns this part of the beach into a great water sports area, where beginners feel at ease and experienced sports people can prove their skill. Guests have 60 Hifly surf boards with Naish-Riggs and 8 Topcat catamarans at their disposal. Their rental is included in the holiday price, if you can provide evidence for an official surfing licence or equivalent practical experience. You can take up courses for extra charge.
Kite surfing: Discover the new, trendy sport! Abandon yourself to the new floating feeling on the water! Corresponding courses as well as rental of kites are provided by the \'7 BFT\' company. A free shuttle service to the kite centre is available.
Golf: The 18-hole Gary Player golf course is available for top class players. The 9-hole Academy course can be used by players without handicap. A Greenfee package can be booked in advance. A tournament for guests is organised once a week. There are golf courses for all playing abilities available.
Tennis: Players can use the 6 quartz sand courts (all floodlit) free of charge as well as the Head rackets.

During the day you can play different sports and participate in competitions such as beach volleyball or football.

The club is open throughout the year. You can arrive daily, Thursday being the main arrival day.
NEW: 1st class train ticket to the airport inclusive. A bus will take Robinson guests to and from the airport. On your departure date you can use your room (if available) until the last minute for 25 euro after consulting the reception. On your arrival date you can use your room starting with 3 pm.
